Winter berry breakfast

We don't typically have syrup in the house, which is fine; we rarely eat anything that needs syrup.
I decided to make waffles on Sunday. Blueberry waffles. This time of year, blueberries are difficult to find, and when you find them, they're very expensive! Why spend so much on fresh fruit, when you can easily use frozen!


When I do make something that needs syrup, I use fruit!!


Its wicked easy. 


Grab some fresh or frozen fruit. put in a small saucepan, add a little bit of sugar, let cook.


There you have it.

  1. add a little cornstarch and cook and you have an awesome filling for cupcakes, too :-)
